“Nothing tastes as good as thin feels.” Letting Ana Go was phenomenal. She was trying to be perfect, what’s so wrong with that?
Ana was a 16-year-old girl who came from a good family. She had everything she could ever want, but deep down she felt she needed to be better. Ana wasn’t addicted to drugs or alcohol, but she was addicted to losing weight. Once she stopped eating, she couldn’t start again.
She was the prettiest girl in school, and had the cutest boyfriend. What else could you want? For Ana it was to be skinnier, so she could feel pretty. She just wanted to fit in.
Letting Ana Go was heartbreaking. Even after going to treatment and therapy, she took one look in the mirror and that was it, she couldn’t bear to look at herself. She goes into a backwards spiral right back to where she was, only this time, worse.
