A Brand New Dau
Here it was, a brand new day,
One full of adventure and hopefully no dismay.
I got out of bed and changed out of my night gown.
I opened the window and saw the beautiful sun’s ray.
I got in the car and made my way out of town.
I was so happy, you could never see me frown.
I parked the car and everyone watched me flee.
I looked at the waves that were unfamiliarly, not brown.
My face was filled with so much glee.
I stood over the water, watching the sea.
I looked beyond the horizon in disbelief.
No one looked as happy as me.
No one could steal this moment from me, not even a thief.
I was in awe, I felt no sign of grief.
Everything looked good, everything looked pure.
I was the happiest in this moment, even though it was brief.
