Do something today that your future self will thank you for

Countless hours spent perfecting each movement

Daily corrections help with improvement

Focus and discipline lead to success

It's all in the mind which helps her progress

The electricity runs through her veins

The music takes away all of her pains

A spark of deep passion bursts from her soul

Whcih lets her become someone who is whole

While stretching backstage the nerves start to flow

She takes one last breath and starts the show

The time has come filled with pressure and fear

It's now or never her head is all clear.

She fills up the room and dances so strong

The stage is her home it's where she belongs.

The author's comments:

I wanted to express the passion I have for dancing and the hardwork and dedication that goes into this difficult sport. I hope that all dancers identify with the feelings that we get from practicing, perfecting and performing.  This sport as many sports do, has it's ups and downs but when you put on a strong performance, there is nothing better.

Beautiful - I think you've really captured the heart and soul of ballet performance from the perspective of the dancer. Keep writing, I think you have more to say!
