Lucianna
I reminisce the day you caught my eye.
The curve of you neck, the sway of your hips
Drew me. Your name was lust upon my lips.
I chased you through the winding streets. With a smile
I snared you, with a dance I made you mine.
And thus into the abyss we both slipped.
Of love and beauty I have had a sip,
Yet we know the fate we cannot defy.
Mortality is a stain upon my chest.
I search in vain to see your face once more
In this city of death. But alas I
Will no more feel your sweet caress. I confess
My misogyny, but that was before.
Now I have changed. I cannot say goodbye.
