Im not crazy i just have a twisted imagination

we're all mad here - the Cheshire Cat

Let me tell you a story
Of a girl I once knew
She was always happy
Her joy was true
She held a big smile
It would never fade
She could run a mile
Or even run a parade

Her eyes were pure
They never shed a tear
She always had the cure
But she is slowly fading I fear
She no longer glows
Secrets she keeps
She has fears no one knows
When alone she silently weeps

The girl has grown
She is filled with despair
She is now on her own
With much to repair
She is left alone in this world
For this girl now lives a lie
She hid more than she could
Now she has said goodbye

The girl I speak of
Very close she is
She knew of love
She had the heart I miss
This girl let anger build tall
Now this girl is forgotten by them
She won't let her tears fall
The girl is now finishing this poem

This is just a poem that reminds me of what life was like as a kid and how different it is from being a teen. Anyways, hope you like it.

Ninja, you described this feeling perfectly. I cant completely relate to this poem. It seems to help explain some feelings that i haven't been able to explain myself.

The 'I can relate' button was MANDATORY. We are alike, and I love how describe the feeling.
