I have not seen or known above until
my eyes have stretched beyond so far and wide
to find you. By your deep brown eyes, the will,
the photographs too. I know you, yet hide
as I am scared of you. You’re dead and gone
I cannot change what has been written so—
farewell—my love, I shall join you and on
the last couple days have been to and fro
because my breaths vary, I want to stay.
There is no life and love without you here.
I watch the painting luster, from Monet
“La Grenouillere,” makes me want to shed tears.
It’s like the photograph we took in Rome,
the dock where you first held me felt like home.
