The Start Of A War

As the enemy comes
so does our defenses rise
for the coming battle we sound the drums
as our enemies arise
There weapons are weak
ours are strong though worn
our numbers may be meak
they may be a swarm
though our resource deposits dwindle
so do theirs
our fires inside us all still are kindled
even though we may shed tears
we are going to survive
and we are going to thrive!
