Confidence

In twenty years from right now, I’ll look back.
See what I’ve done, who I’ve changed, who’s changed me.
Look at what I have, and not what I lack.
I want to be confident, can’t you see?

I feel like there’s no one who will believe.
I have talents and skills that need to show.
It’s actually me, who has been deceived.
Maybe it’s time for the whole world to know.

Maybe my hands will shake, stomach will ache.
I think you will regret it, in the end.
People tell me to give myself a break.
“You can do it,” is repeated by friends.

Now I'm done, I can finally believe.
That I'm worth far more than the eyes can see.
