Beauty is not as pure as you may think.
Lightning is a breathtaking thing to see.
It all crashes in a hot flashing blink.
Its destructive nature comes with a fee.

A brilliant shade is Larkspur of violet,
And hangs there enticing others to touch.
You may think the plant life inviolate,
But I will tell you it is not as much.

The puffer fish also known as Fugu,
May seem all sweet and innocent at first.
The taste of its exotic meat will do,
But I warn you the worst has not been served.

Everything is not as it may seem, so
Be careful in how you may think things go.

The author's comments:
I really enjoyed writing this piece for class, and I wanted to pick a lofty topic. I picked beauty, but I didn't want to write about the cliché version of beauty. So I wrote on how beauty is not pure and can be destructive and the danger in it. It all depends on how you go about it.
