While his body lay there gently resting,
With many piercings in his side and head,
As his mother stood there greatly weeping,
The King, the King of Kings was dead.

While his body lay there gently resting,
The sins of every man had been forgiven.
Cleansed were the sinful ways man had been living,
This didn’t cease the pain his mother was in.

While his body lay there gently resting,
Miraculous things were happening on this earth.
As the devil watched while proudly laughing,
The Son of God had given us new birth

Her sadness turned into smiles and joy,
Up from the grave burst forth her baby boy.
