"The shorter it is, the more well said it is."

Pupils wide, soaring through heaven blind-eyed.
Trying to find his way -- aren't we all?
But he’d rather not pick either two sides
Of the star, from which he’d gladly fall.

An honorable man -- such as this one --
Only hunting for the truth in his mind.
Within all the darkness he finds the sun
Trapped within all the thoughts that are unkind.

The sun, as bright as it is, turn’d to black
When he tried to hold it, for it is dead.
Betrayed by his own pupils; thrown off track
This truth-seeking man must fight his own head.

Yet I do feel he will survive his fight,
And bring himself far beyond his own light.
