I looked at your face; it was empty.
You stared up at something above.
I screamed at you not out of anger,
But of selfishly wanting your love.
To me, you had paid no attention.
Quite frankly, you never did try.
Still, here I am, sitting beside you,
Waiting to hear your next lie.
