The flowers blossom with the sense of love,
The awkward, yet intriguing glimpse of eyes,
The first few words are ones I’ve only dreamed of,
You asked me and it took me by surprise,

It was careless but I didn’t mind,
You made me feel like I was ten feet tall,
My verve unraveled it’s confusing bind,
I thought I really, truly had it all,

I realized we couldn’t last for long,
The flowers bloomed and died one Summer’s night,
I saw your face and knew you felt some wrong,
It hit so hard I thought I saw the light,

My eyes welled up with tears when he had said
This bond we shared died with the flower’s head.

This poem was inspired by the thought of a young relationship. I realized a flower is much like young relationships. I hope people see that falling in and out of love is a beautiful and natural process, like the life of a flower.
