A Meaning
Do I compare you to rustic fall leaves?
Or to the great spring days that soon bring light?
You make me laugh when I do not believe
You are the light day to my cloudy night
You seem to illuminate all my days
I am forced to smile when I am sad
If I were to fall you won’t stray away
I am so broken but you don’t think I’m mad
You are the notes that put my life in tune
The melody that brings me happiness
The harmony that shakes up my life’s typhoon
If you weren’t there my world would be a mess
You stood by me when I was unstable
Because friendship is a promise not a label
