Hiding the Hurt
We laugh about ridiculous things,
To hide how much it stings,
& how bad it hurts,
To see everything get worse.
We slap on smiles,
& create all these piles,
Of feelings on our hearts,
Ripping it into separate parts.
We hide behind responsibilities,
To avoid new opportunities,
So we can avoid new pain,
That we don't need to gain.
We need to quit,
Before we split,
Into two different people;
One good & one evil.
