The Only Thing That Matters
And she says, "I want to know what you know.
Everything that you feel about what's
real. Show me all that you could ever show
me." Responding, through the air his voice cuts
and he says, "The best writers couldn't expound
what I know to be true. And what I feel
couldn't possibly be called real. Look around,
see if you can't find what you really want to know. Quickly
now." She looks at him. "How in the world do
you put up with me?" She asks him thickly.
"I don't. I enjoy you. And I love you."
She smiles then. And she feels poetic then.
The only thing that matters then, is them.
