Eyes...
Eyes to Tell,
Eyes to Speak.
Fires burn,
For passions weep.
Lines embroided,
From exposed expressions.
Filled to the brim,
With smile recessions.
Eyes to paint,
to sketch,
to draw.
What once was left,
lives no more.
For times do change,
Swiftly depart.
Eyes whisper of thought
but scream of heart.
For all they've seen,
All they've known.
For joy that has died,
Wisdom has grown.
Now glazed with age,
Grey maturity bought,
Yet grasped to youth
and all it's taught.
Time will pass,
Eyes in death's caress.
Covered in colour,
Made to impress.
Now silent eyes closed,
Under the tread
But stories told,
Shall never be dead.
