I never thought –
Until today – to think
Of life soothe wrought –
Of adventures not my drink.

Before thought I –
I was young, without intention.
Now – “ne’er old,” think will I –
Toward an age beyond His mention.

I will work with new mirth:
A celebration of stead –
For death is not birth;
Opposites go not wed.

So endeth now my firstgo revel –
What tales are now my way?
How doth thine seek white Heaven’s level;
How doth thine seek hot Hell’s bright ray?

The author's comments:
I wrote this while syncing in to Michael Burkard's 'The Eyeglasses.' I guess I was taken by the theme of the way by which things pass by, transpire. I made it into a person passing into his own new perspective. It is a He because I'm not certain as to whether women feel the same way about this a lot. Oh, and it sounds kind of religious, but think of the 'His' as something like THE MAN or something, some unofficial socail rulebook (those things happen...).

Wow. By far the worst poem I have ever read in my entire life. Seriously, I'm trying to help you. Don't pursue anything that has to do with english. It's just not your thing man. Try science, that's fun! Chemistry and stuff! Yeah! But poems.......well, I'd stay away from those. And writing in general. Ouch. Really bad.
