Snowy Sweet
Dancing lightly the sky is their ballroom
Whirling and floating they don’t ever stop
Some twirl ‘round each other like bride and groom
Sadly their dance halts soon at a tree’s top
Laying upon its outstretched branches
They wait for other guests to come arrive
More have also stopped their dances
Forcing others to take a plunging dive
Into the snow they land without a sound
Covered in an endless garden of white
Remaining alone and still until found
A gloved hand wraps around the snow tight
And a child joyfully licks their treat
Grinning as they enjoy their snowy sweet
