A Broken Heart

I sit and I ponder the reasons why
My mind is blank and my heart is broken
My entire world seems to pass me by
The words inside will never be spoken.
Alone at night I lay in bed and think
How can someone just take it all away?
On my heart is your name written in ink
My hope is that your name will fade someday.
This is not how I want to live my life
I never want to feel this way again
It is like you cut my heart with a knife
My heart will heal, but I do not know when.
I am ready to forgive and forget
A new journey in my life has been set.
