When I think of love I’ll think of you

always so kind and sweet. 

You loved me even when i didn’t want you to

and held me when i felt empty and incomplete.

 

You loved me in times of happiness 

with a love that was true and honest

and loved me most in times of hopelessness,

when my attitude wasn’t the fondest. 

 

Mama, I love you to the moon and back

you’re the sun to my flower

I’ll try to repay you but might lack 

because yours is the love with most power.

So when you’re gone

it’s your unconditional love that’ll carry me on.
