Faded Fantasy
Our fantasy will always be faded,
Cuz you were like the clouds on a bright day.
No matter where you went it was shaded,
I had to go ahead and walk away.
Our love was definitely just the best,
It was just us in our own little thoughts.
We compared ourselves to none of the rest,
But we couldn’t connect all of the dots.
In the end it was just you and then me,
Even fate wouldn’t bring us together.
We were never actually meant to be,
You left and I’m lighter than a feather.
The weight was lifted off of my shoulders,
Love moves mountains, but we failed at boulders.
