Nothing matters more than those who depend on you, emotionally or physically. Even if the situation is life or death, you have to be there for them, because they need you.

I don't mean anything to you
Am I right?
You don't give a crap
About me at night
I know you don't care
Don't tell me lies I wanna hear

(Chorus: What did I do to you to deserve this pain?
What did I say to you to make you take your love away?
I've always loved you but I know
You don't feel the same
Heartbreak pain)
I wanna know
What I did to throw love out the window
I cry at night but that doesn't
Ease the pain you bring
(Chorus)
There's an empty space in my heart
Where my parents' love is supposed to be I
Wonder why you don't love me
(Chorus)

The author's comments:
Sometimes, I feel like my parents don't love me as much as they love my little brother. We're Chinese, and the culture values males more than females. It really hurts that they favor him more, and it's really obvious...all the time...I always feel like I'm the odd one out in my family, and it always makes me cry. The trigger for this song was when my mom told me to do something that obviously required a lot of strength when I was so tired I could fall flat on my face and go to sleep, and when I couldn't do it, she punished me for it.
Sometimes, it feels like my family hates my guts...
