Grandma Went to Prison
Grandma went to prison? Oh how could this be?
I just can’t believe it Grandmas always been so nice to me
I know she couldn’t do it there’s just too much she'd be missin’
I guess this is the story of how grandma went to prison.
She was driving down the road when a grape vine is all she could see
She went to cut it down and said, “Now this is what I need”
It was to tuff to tear so she looked the backseat
Where she found a hoe that she used for gardening
She cut it all and wrapped it up and got back on the road
She didn’t see the sign that said no trespassing allowed.
Grandma went to prison? Oh how could this be?
I just can’t believe it Grandmas always been so nice to me
I know she couldn’t do it there’s just too much she'd be missin’
I guess this is the story of how grandma went to prison.
So grandma called me up she said that she was in the pen
I said, “Don’t think I heard you. Could you say that again?
“Now don’t be smart, just come get me” she said into the phone
“And don’t you tell you mother cuz she wont leave me alone
Grandma went to prison? Oh how could this be?
I just can’t believe it Grandmas always been so nice to me
I know she couldn’t do it there’s just too much she'd be missin’
I guess this is the story of how grandma went to prison.
So grandma’s out and swears to me it wont happen again
And if I wanted to tell anyone I wouldn’t know where to begin
Oh gosh I just did. You can not tell a sole
Cuz if grandma finds out I’ll never reach fifteen years old
So grandma went to prison. That’s how the story ends.
She got back out and never told not even her best friend
And if I bring it up she’ll deny she had to go
But I think that is only because grandpa still doesn’t know
