My Apology
I saw you standing there that day
And tears came to my eyes
When I heard what you had to say
How could I be so blind
To that look in your eyes
Forgive me
I never thought about my words or my attitude
Why didn't you tell me all the pain
I was causing you
Now I'm standing at the end of the road
Not knowing what to say or do
But I want you to know
That I'm sorry
And I really miss you
I see you every now and then
But you don't talk, you don't smile
Your resistance will not bend
What happened to the fun, the laughs
It's like we never met
Why can't you forgive me?
Not long ago you said I was one of your best friends
I thought that'd last forever
And maybe it still can if we remember
That like God's love for us
True love never fails
So now I think about my words and my attitude
And I hope you'll tell me if there's pain
That I ever cause you
Cause I don't want to be standing at the end of the road
Not knowing what to say or do
I hope now you know
That I'm sorry
And I really miss you

If you ever feel like a friend is mistreating you, talk with them about it. Don't just let it build up inside. You need to communicate your feelings to him/her and get the problem solved before someone really gets hurt.
