Unknowing

We fight

with all our might

to be treated equal

but we just get stuck in another sequel

Our world crumbles

as people only mumble

as people are raped

We try to help but we’re always too late

We’re like ticking time bombs

we kill mobs

instead of having a civil conversation

We make racist remarks without careful contemplation

Hurting others is our superpower

we go to graves and throw flowers

but what did we do when they were here

We didn’t shed a tear

We kick people out on streets

leaving them with no food to eat

We force kids into marriage

because it’s allowed by their parents

We leave foster kids with no home

Forcing them to die alone

Where’s the love and compassion

For people who live ration to ration

We’re crazy

killing babies

because they are not of the stronger sex

We’ll sit and wait excitedly for the next

Escape

To cover our mistakes

We run from the truth

As we try to keep our youth

We’ll inject

To protect from the comments

We’ll take tests and do projects

With knowing

That people are hoping for

A better education

A better life

A better world
