She watched the gloomy clouds, over the surface of the trees,
Turn dusk to dawn; sorrow filling her.

Like scars in the sand, the wind blew her thoughts overhead,
She couldn't quite grasp her heart
Reflecting
Off the moonlit sky.

Lightning struck,
The violent storm began speaking louder
And more forceful,
Heavy rain drops plunging down all around her,
she stood,
little bits of wet sand gripping the soles of her feet.

In the shimmering light
Of the sea,
She caught a glimpse
Of the calm water before her.

And disappeared into the darkness.
