Alone
I’m not alone
I have everything.
The rain,
gently knocking on
my dusty window,
asking so kindly to come inside.
The cats,
resting weary heads on
my empty balcony
creating symphonies
for my ears alone.
The necklace,
that you left as a gift
to chain me
or perhaps penance
for your numerous and uncountable
mistakes.
But…
you did not leave me
broken
you left me
an open door.
