I am a Calendar

A date has been set and those due dates come quick,
no time to waste- no changing it now.
The chatter begins as the party invites fly out,
I pencil it in- no changing it now.
Appointment after appointment I write it all down,
some days overlap- no changing it now.
Days fill up as the week goes on, I try to find time,
but there is none left- no changing it now.
