In the Kitchen MAG

there i sat
all by
my lonesome
listening;
absorbed in
the vocals
of the symphony
of droplets
smacking
and knocking
on the rooftop.
it matched
the pattern of
my pulsing
headache
and the
dewy drops
slipping down
my slate
of a face.
in the kitchen
i rest in
shock
of being lied
to by more
than just someone
i knew, but
by(e)
a friend.
