Not a Happy Poem
This is not a happy poem.
We all know there are two types of pain:
physical and emotional.
However, what about all the other kinds?
What about when your heart pounds so hard that you can't breathe?
What about when your cheek from that slap hurts so bad
That it physically burns your soul?
What about rejection, how does that feel?
I won't write about disaster,
I won't write about the anger,
I'll just write about the confusion.
This is not a happy poem.
You could try to fix it with some time
Or just wait for someone else to come.
But, in reality, this is a climb
And I don't want to rhyme.

This is something a lot of people struggle with whether it is mental or physical or something in between. We struggle to identify the source of the pain and how it hurts us. While this poem doesn't give the answer to our pain, it simply puts it in perspective.
