I want you out.
How can I pull you from my veins
And drain you from my aching heart?
When will you disappear, leaving me to wallow in misery,
To become something else, something beautiful,
Without you?
Was it foolish of me to think
That I could preserve you, your previous perfection,
Untouched, within my memory?
I can’t bear your presence any longer;
Go, and save me the trouble
Of loving you without knowing how to stop.
