I’m at the bottom of an ocean of sadness
I feel the pressure on my heart crushing me
Involuntarily I breathe, my lungs fill up as
salt stings my eyes and burns my chest
I retreat to a shell of a long dead creature,a prison
Confining me
Inscribed on the wall is the word “forever”
The water seeps in
I see through the crack a shimmer of light
the sun breaching the depths of this ocean
I hesitate,
then i swim
