The time you broke me
There was a time in my life
When I was a happy kid
No worries, no sorrows
Your average teenage girl
But when I met you
Something inside of me snapped
the cruel words, the losing of friends
I thought it would all go away...
Yet what puzzles me most,
Was why you had to pick me.
Did I ever hurt you?
It was hard to tell
You smug faced crowds
No pity left in your bones
No time to ask if I`m alright
Just left me to crumble on my own
As leaves turn brown
And the seasons changed
My scars healed and you left me alone
At least for a while anyways
So here I am now
Telling you my story
Of how I came to be
A messed up broken girl

This piece was inspired by true events that happened to me in school. I was bullied throughtout Year 7 (Grade 7 if you live in America) and was left with nearly nobody to lean on. Things are ok now as I`ve learnt to stand up for myself as well as gain respect but after reading this poem I hope people will understand how damaging bullying can really be
