The Sun Shines West
Yet another sunset, the sun shines west
Where the tracks glisten, cars run past
The streetcar trundles past the bundles of flowers in the
shops
Bustling with the cusp of the evening buzz
as beams of gold cut through the crisp air
and hit every inch of the street like
the warmth of a flare
Yet passing the alleys
dotting the wall of stores
with colours of the rainbow, textiles gleaming
The old brick halls, lined with the
Sensations
Patterns
Pitter-patter
of the spray-paint across the brick walls
as the sunbeams break and falter
like the curtain call of the world
The last flames of light
meets its water
where the sun shines west
