manic

he was confused

          alone

the darkness pulled at him

                  suffocated

                                                                                                   light

a magnetic attraction

                detraction

he was what is

     not        not

                                                                               gone

and he found himself

                  peace

only in his recollections

                                                                                past

he was lost

amidst himself

across his consciousness

         the ocean

   and the forest

and yet

he was here all the time

                                                                                 lost
