The little things

It's the little things,
the in between moments,
the subconscious actions.
the wave in the hallway.
the hug when I'm upset.
the joke when I'm stressed.
the parties our days off,
(well more like nerd-gatherings).
the never ending flow of messages.
the inside jokes,
and the hours spent talking.
it's these moments and more,
that turn friends,
into family.
