Where were you? Where were you?

When my life fell off track,

And everything just faded to the black?

Where were you? Where were you?

When I just needed a friend,

And I desperately wanted everything to end?

Did you know? Did you know?

That I loved you so?

That's why I endured every single blow.

Could you see? Could you see?

The pain you put on me?

Yet I still never let myself run free.

Where were you? Where were you?

When I bled on the bathroom floor,

Wanting nothing but your face through my front door?

Where were you? Where were you?

When I screamed your name,

And took every ounce of blame?

Did you know? Did you know?

That I loved you so,

Oh, why did you have to go?

Could you see? Could you see?

How the broken pieces in me,

Changed who I used to be?

Where were you? Where were you?

When my hope was all gone,

And I wished to be gone by dawn?

Where were you? Where were you?

When I cried in my bed,

And was severly underfed?

Did you know? Did you know?

That I loved you so?

That's why I believed every word you decided to throw.

Could you see? Could You see?

The pain in my eyes?

I couldn't hide it with a measly disguise.

Where were you? Where were you?

When I was too weak to breathe,

And I had to pull down my sleeve?

Where were you? Where were you?

When my life turned upside down,

And in my thoughts I let myself drown?

Did you know? Did you know?

That I loved you so?

If only in return you could show.

Could you see? Could you see?

The darkness surounding?

And how from it, I took a pounding.

My life wasn't always all great. In fact before I had who I have right now, none of it was good at all. That is just the story of one summer.
