Try, try
Little bird
Lift off of the ground.
I have tried
My whole life
And you know what I’ve found?
It is difficult
To feel
The wind in your face.
It is perplexing
To find your place.
I cannot fly,
For I, it will be harder.
But you
Little bird
You can go farther.
Then,
When all is well,
I will find my calling.
When I am able
I will fly without falling.
For now, I sit,
Watching you up high,
Because for now
Little bird,
I cannot fly.

I really like this poem. I like how the author wants the little bird to go farther than she has been.

Great poem, very well written. Also makes you think, which really shows that this is well written.

"Flightless Me" I really enjoyed this poem, and it really puts a perspective of the world in another form. However, this poem can be taken many different ways. First, you can think about a birds view. Secondly, you could think about how a little baby that can't walk yet watches everyone to try to learn to walk. There are many other ways to interpret this wonderful poem. Great Job, Brett
