your ash-blonde hair
illuminated by
the light of dawn
everything around us
is glass,
is mirrors,
is surrounded
by simplicity
let this be
the way they remember us
when we’re long gone,
roses on our grave
dressed in our best,
sleeping beneath
the earth
let this be
the way they remember us,
with joy
coursing through
our veins
and
that sparkle
in your
blue-green eyes
that i could stare into
forever
let this be
the way they remember us,
full
of everything
wonderful
