The Miracle
There must have been
A leak in space
Yes, it sprinkled down
And danced with grace
It brought us together
We all stood around
The marvelous pattern
Of space on the ground
With pinks and yellows
And swirls of blue
It sparkled with glitter
And smelled of shampoo
The scientists jumped
And sang with such glee!
When they had concluded
It was a baby galaxy!
But how could it slip
Though our tough atmosphere?
Was it the bullet holes from war
That brought it down here?
How could conflict
Gift us such a beautiful prize?
With violence came beauty
Now that’s a surprise.
