Black and White Paint
Partners in crime
unalike on the glistening surface;
complement one another
like lonely drunks in an elegant bar
lusting for company.
Their flirtatious fling
melts the world to grey;
But apart they are cold concealers,
the masters of disguise.
Many do not acknowledge
the poetry of their presence
until it has gone astray;
and yet they are endless,
modest and prominent;
The lovers that linger.
