My hair strands are free spirits
They don't want to be slicked down with gel
They don't want to be attacked with a brush
They just want to be... just the way they are
It's been two weeks since I've used a scrunchie
It's not even around my wrist anymore
I've decided no longer to care
Let them do what they want to
Ignore what anyone else thinks
They're just hair strands
Let them be
