Going to bed feeling tired.
I yawn as I walk to my bed
And lay silently and drift off to sleep
But I hear a tiny squeak
I wonder who could make have made that..
Next morning
I hear it again.
"What's that?" Very quietly.
It comes from the closet.
I head over to find a miracle.
"Welcome to the world."
5 new born kittens,
Her mother around them
A sense of joy fills me,
My face filled with glee.
Like I could shout "Yes!!"
I exploded with happiness,
as I take a look at the kittens.
This is new.
This is special.
This is life.
