Trying to see the world through my eyes is hard
it can be difficult leaving me scarred
all my insecurities and flaws you don't see
wishing all I could do was feel free

I feel trapped like no one can hear me
I just wish people would let me be
I wish they could feel the pain I feel
knowing that it is very much real

my life was turned upside down
feeling the tears in which I drown
I couldn't see the light
I could feel my throat begin to get tight

the pain just won't go away
living with the struggles day by day
it feels like no help can be found
trying with everything I have to keep my feet on the ground

I feel trapped inside this place
wishing people would just give me my space
I feel like there's no hope
Always finding and learning ways I can cope

I now feel like I’m being heard
my life is no longer being blurred
I slowly begin to; again see the light
I now have nothing to fear at night

realizing those feelings don't last forever
I won't feel like that again, not now not ever
my life gets hard at times
but I sit alone waiting to hear the wonderful chimes

life can get hard
but never be afraid to let down the guard
it will all be okay
just never let it get in your way
