A Sleepless Night
A man wanders the twilight hours,
haunted by an eluding sleep.
As the grand, old grandfather clock’s hand,
tick away the hours, his sanity is reep.
The haunted man, still staring down a long and ghostly hallway,
as that eluding sleep continues to mock.
As the hour bell rings, filling the once silent,
with noise, haunting the man.
The haunting ring signaling the haunting hour,
the man still wonders, in a shadowy state.
Entering a room of long ago life,
which has since been lost.
The man sits, looking at the old man in the sky,
thinking about his beloved friends, who left.

This piece was supposed to be a sonnet, but I failed, so I maded it into a free verse.
