Towering Trees
We wandered out
Into the wilderness
And together we were true
But somewhere between the towering trees
We lead ourselves astray
I took a wrong turn
Went a little west
And you
You took a wrong turn, too
But you went wandering east
Then I was alone
And you were alone
And a wind swept us further away
And the leaves all fell
And the air went cold
And now I’m stuck out here
And I’m tired and alone
And I’m lost without you
But I know that you’re lost, too
And maybe somewhere between the towering trees
We’ll be lost together again
