What it Means to be Like a Girl
I am what I am and that’s what I am
I am Strong not Weak
And yet Weak and Strong
I am Smart not “Blonde”
Except I am “Blonde” and Smart
I am Lazy not Active
Yet I spend more time being Active than Lazy
I am Loud not Shy
Even though I am Shy the same amount of time that I am Loud
I am Inspired not Artistic
But not all great Artists are always Inspired
I am what I am and that’s what I am
I am like a Girl, because I am a Girl
I RUN like a Girl
I THINK like a Girl
I ACT like a Girl
I SPEAK like a Girl
I CREATE like a Girl
Because I AM a Girl
And NO stereotype can take that away from me.
Ever.
