Freedom

Don’t be scared children
Come into my arms
It is okay
No one is in your way

Look my children
What do you see?
Look in the Wilderness and see
The Mother of Nature
The Father of Freedom

Freedom of what?
In only yourselves
Only your choice
can set you free

Like a caged bird
waiting to sing freely
when the cage
was open all this time

blame the gods
blame the Sun
blame the One
Who created us

As the one
who captivated us
on this Rock
we call Earth

When all this time
we could have been free
but chose not to
or didn’t want to

Children, be patient
I was getting to that
How can we be free?
How do we find it?

Life is your home
Not mine, but yours
But the way to be free
is to leave Home

How else would beloved children grow
When captivated by the safety
of their own homes?

But You like living
You like this Rock
A Rock we call Earth
A Rock we call Home

The Point of living?
Is to live
To live out your lives
as much as you possibly can

But why?
That is for you
to find out
As you go on
with the Secrets of Life

You find the Secrets
when you leave
but no coming back
only one chance for thee

How amusing creatures
Contradicting themselves
in any way possible
These Humans

How they seek out freedom
and happiness at the same time
when this freedom they seek
is not the happiness they are looking for
These Humans

How foolish they can be
wanting something
that they keep rejecting
so dearly?
These Humans

But here your problems are over
here you find Happiness
here you find Freedom
here you find Peace

Oh, silly me. I must have forgotten
to introduce myself
I am Death.
my dear children.
And welcome
to Freedom.
