The day of death
The Day of Death
by Jackson M.
When the boats arrive
the bullets start to fly
There are screams of hell
but everyone can only think “Oh well”
As people start dying
there is not much anyone can do
The smell of death is in the air
people sit and hide from death himself
So they wait to be found, lie down and wish they died
and all around are loud cries
And bullets stop flying
the boats stop coming
The screams die down
soldiers look around
Bodies floating in the water
blood stains the sand
The day was won
but no one will ever forget what happened
On D-Day
